Annual Meeting of the Council

Public participation

Members of the public and press are entitled by law to attend all meetings of the Council BUT may not participate in the meeting.

However, early in the Agenda there is a “Public participation” slot at which point the meeting is adjourned for any member of the public to raise an issue. Individual contributions from members of the public should not exceed 2/3 minutes.

When making observations on planning applications, members of the public should provide only ADDITIONAL information to that which they may have already provided in writing to the Parish Council and/or Bradford Council.

Members of the public and the press will be excluded by resolution during consideration of business of a confidential nature under the Public Bodies Admissions to Meetings Act 1960 s1(2).
