The Council welcomes Mark Stidworthy as its newest Member. Cllr Stidworthy was elected at a bye-election on Thursday 5th January 2017 and declared his Acceptance of Office at the Council meeting on Monday 9th January.

Mark has lived in Ilkley with his family since 2004. He works as a consultant veterinary pathologist specialising in zoo animals, wildlife and fish, based in Keighley and Yeadon.

He is the current President of the British Veterinary Zoological Society. His wife is an environmental consultant and both his daughters attend state Ilkley schools.

Outside of work, he is an active member of St John's Church, Ben Rhydding, and enjoys music and the Ilkley Literature Festival.
